Personal data collected by Papillonstore

Papillonstore collects personal data provided directly by you and/or automatically acquired through devices (including mobile devices) when: you use our Services, register a Bow tie account, provide data to Papillonstore in a web form, update or add information to your account, or contact Papillonstore in another way.

Some of this personal data, such as how we use to identify you, is necessary to be able to accept the User Agreement. The provision of all other personal data is optional but may be necessary in order to use our Services, such as data to make proposals, buy or sell that are necessary to conclude a transaction.

We may also collect personal data from other sources, as described below.

Personal data you provide when you use our Services or register a Papillonstore account

  • Identification data such as name, addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses, provided when you register a Papillonstore account.
  • Data related to offers, purchases, or sales, provided during a transaction or other content based on transactions generated or connected to your account following a transaction you participated in.
  • Other content generated by you or connected to your account (for example, adding items to your shopping cart or items you watch, creating collections, and the collections and sellers you follow).
  • Financial data (for example, credit card numbers or bank account numbers) in connection with a transaction.
  • Data relating to shipments, invoicing and other data, used to purchase or ship an item, as well as, where postal services are provided through one of our programs, information required for customs obligations (e.g. tax identifiers or other identification numbers) and shipping information (e.g. shipping codes and related updates).
  • In some cases, when you use our Services, you may indicate age, gender, interests and preferences.
  • You may also provide other data through web forms, updating or adding information to your account, through participation in community discussions, user communications, chats, dispute resolution, or when you communicate with Papillonstore in any other way regarding our Services.
  • Other data that Papillonstore is required or authorized to collect and process, in accordance with current legislation, for the purpose of authenticating or identifying the user or verifying the information collected.

Personal data acquired automatically when you use our Services or register a Papillonstore account

  • We capture data when you interact with our Services, your advertising settings and your communications with Papillonstore. This data is what we receive from the devices (including mobile devices) you use when you access our Services. These can include the following: device ID or unique code, device type, ad ID, and unique device token.
  • Geolocation data, including location data captured through your mobile device. Keep in mind that most mobile devices allow you to control or disable the use of location services by applications installed through the settings menu.

  • We use cookies, web beacons, unique identifiers and other similar technologies to capture data on the pages and links you visit and other actions you perform when you use our Services, within advertising or email content.

Personal data collected through other sources

  • We integrate the personal data we collect directly, with other data and information collected by third parties that we add to your account information. We collect and use, for example, demographic data and other data and information in the public domain, additional contact information, credit verification data and solvency information provided by the relevant offices, in accordance with current national legislation
  • Social Media. We give you the ability to share data with social media sites, or use those sites to create an account or to link your account to the respective social media site. Such social media may authorize Papillonstore to automatically access certain data in their possession (e.g. content you visit or liked, and ad data that you've been shown and clicked on, and so on). If you provide us with access to sites with video content, you authorize us to share your video viewing activities with third-party social media or to obtain data from them on the videos watched for at least two years or until you decide to withdraw your consent or delete the link to the social media site. You may control the personal data that you allow us to access through the privacy settings available in the social media in question, as well as the permissions provided when you allow access to your personal data stored by such social media. By associating social media-managed accounts with your Papillonstore account and authorizing us to access such data, you consent to the acquisition, processing and retention of data provided by such social media in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We may also use plug-ins or other technologies from different social media sites. If you click on a link provided via a social media plug-in, you decide, at your sole discretion, to connect with that specific social media site.
  • You can only provide us with personal data about another person with their explicit consent. You should inform the person in question about how we acquire, process, transmit and store personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

If you do not wish to receive marketing communications, you can unsubscribe via the link in the email you received, change your Notification Preferences in My Bow tie, indicate your notification preferences using the method described in direct communications with Bow tier, and contact us as indicated in the Contact Us section below. Please note that we do not sell or have your personal data stored for compensation or disclose your personal data to third parties in other ways for marketing purposes without your consent.


If you do not wish to use advertising personalization programs, you can withhold consent by following the instructions in the advertisement in question or through the programs described in our Cookie Use Policy. By cancelling your participation you will get the interruption of personalized advertising, but the collection of your personal data will continue as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not allow third parties to monitor or collect your personal data on our sites for their advertising purposes without your consent.

Keep access active

When you sign in to your account for our Services, you can choose to keep access active for a certain period of time. If you use a public or shared computer, we do not recommend that you retain access. During the period in which access is maintained, anyone using the computer/browser in question will be able to see most of your account information and take specific actions without the need for additional permission. The specific actions and account tasks that the computer/browser users can perform include the following:

  • Make payments or add items to your cart
  • See the task header
  • See my Papillonstore account page
  • See or change the objects you observe or order details
  • See profile page
  • Conduct after-sales activities, such as leaving Feedback comments, canceling orders, requesting returns, or making complaints

If you try to change your password or username, update other account information, or perform other account tasks in addition to those listed above, you may be prompted to enter your password.

To end the session, it is usually enough to exit and/or clear cookies. If some browser privacy settings are enabled, closing the page may still finish the session. In order to protect your account and personal data in case of use of public or shared computers, we advise you to exit and/or delete cookies after using our Services.

Ways you can access, control, and rectify your personal data

Access, rectification and deletion of your personal data

By logging into your account you can see, control and edit most of your personal data. Update your personal data immediately in case of changes or errors. Remember that once you publish content, you may not be able to edit or remove it.

We will respect all your rights under current law to access, modify or delete your personal data. To request access and check for any fees, if permitted by current legislation, please contact us following the instructions available in the Contacts to follow section. In some cases provided for by current legislation, despite your possible right to request access, modification or deletion of your personal data, we may still deny such access or refuse the modification or deletion of personal data.

You can use personal data that you only have access to for purposes related to transactions on Papillonstore or for other services offered through Papillonstore (for example, escrow, shipping, fraud claims, user communications) and for purposes explicitly permitted by the user to whom the information refers.

Child privacy

Our websites are referred to a general audience and are not aimed at minors. We do not knowingly collect personal data of users who are considered minors under the laws of their country.

Privacy protection procedures adopted by third parties

This Privacy Policy only explains our use and management of the personal data we collect from you in connection with the provision of our Services. If you disclose your data to third parties or visit a third-party site through a link in our Services, the privacy policies and procedures on the protection of the personal data of such third parties will apply to all personal data that you provide to them or that they will collect from you.
